Our Impact - 2022

While working as the Foster Program Coordinator for a kitten rescue, Levi was introduced to the Los Banos Animal Shelter - a small, underfunded animal control facility that routinely euthanized healthy cats and kittens due to a lack of resources. Friendly animals at the shelter had few options for rescue or adoption, and feral cats had no options other than euthanasia. Every time he went to the shelter to rescue cats and kittens, Levi met feral cats he knew would be put to sleep as soon as he left, but at the time, he had no way of helping them.

Determined to change that, in April of 2022, Levi founded Feral Freedom Northern California - a non-profit dedicated to bringing TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) and RTF (Return-To-Field) programs to underserved communities and animal shelters, and the first stop was the Los Banos Animal Shelter.

Parvo Virus and Panleukopenia are the #1 killers of shelter puppies and kittens. FFNC donates tests to shelters, low-income families, and rescues to help stop the spread of these viruses.
